When I went to the ER I was suicidal & had given myself 3 3rd degree burns & could not stop injuring. I was brought to the hospital by the emergency response services after both the responder & I agreed I needed hospitalization. (I’ve suffered with self injury for years & I can now go long periods without injuring but when I start hospitalization is the only way I can stay safe). I was honest with the triage nurse & told her I had 3 major self inflicted wounds & couldn’t stop. Dr. Werner never even entered the room, he glanced at the 1 wound that could be seen, said we will clean that out & send you home. I begged for a psych eval & he refused saying I didn’t need it. I told him my therapist, psychiatrist, ERS, & I all agreed I needed to be admitted & I had spent 3 hours that afternoon with my therapist & ERS he told me they wasted my time. I asked for a patient advocate & he also refused that. After I was discharged I burned 3 more times before my PC saw me 2 days later & did a direct admit
