  My mother who has now passed was at this carehome at 150 Newport and another one in Laporte 5 or 6 years ago. Fouzia Akhter was the owner of these facilities, She also had her sons operating other facilitiies as well. If you care about your loved ones stay far away from this lady and her family. The homes are terrilbe with awful care. Very unsanitary conditons and the food is not nutritious. I bought and made food for my mom all the times. I left the home afrer a few months as I discovered the help she hired were not experienced and they did not know how to take care of the elderly. I came by one day and saw the caregiver outside talking on the phone and leaving the residents unattended. Fouzia is really a good actress. Don't be fooled as she will promise all kinds of things, but its a lie. I cannot tell you how many awful care homes with people like Fouzia are here in Texas. I have nothing to gain by writing this review, but I don't want any other vunerable elderly to be treated the way I saw my mom and others treated at her home. She is all about money and nothing else. Her son Omar also was managing a care home and I am sorry he is just as bad. My prayer is that the State will shut her business down. The State needs to close down these type of facilities. I believe in Karma and hope they get back all the horrible things they did to the elderly especially my mom. We came to Texas and stupidly believed this lady. She was so convincingly sincere and I believed her. STAY AWAY!!
