Dr. Lundeen did a total ankle replacement for me almost eight months ago, and recovery has progressed better than I could have anticipated. He was specifiaclly recommended by my PCP , by a friend who had the same operation, and also by my physical therapist. Three or four years ago, when he first evaluated me, he advised against immediate surgery and suggested I use a brace and pain killers when necessary until the pain became more than tolerable. I really appreciate this conservative approach to surgery.
When choosing a surgeon, I urge everyone to consider credentials, fellowship training, patient reviews, referrals and especially experience and how well your prospective surgeon communicates with you. Dr. Lundeen gets high marks from me in all the above categories. If you do need him for anything specific, he is always available through the patient portal. Also, this review would not be complete without kudos for his support team, in particular his very caring physician's assistant Nicole who returns all calls by the end of the day and will find an answer to your question(s) if she can't immediately answer it herself.
