I had been under the care of Dr. Rubinstein for many years at Nassau Medical Center. As a kidney patient. Dr. Rubinstein took exceptional care of me. Help me to understand the disease where as I was able to help myself in ways I believe resisted progression of the kidney disease. My diet, and entire lifestyle changes i believe helped in slowing down the progression of the disease. Dr. Rubinstein would answer my call even in times when I became frighten. I was on the kidney transplant list for a near 7 years and never on dialysis. Her guidance, concern, professionalism, care and availability even in her busy schedule helped me to sustain my own well being. I actually became know as the prized state 5 fully active, kidney patient. ! So finally in November 2025 I had my transplant at Mt. Sinai hospital. I have yet to contact Dr. Rubinstein to let her know. Its has been a dramatic life style change and traumatic for me for months. Now that I am more balanced out I cannot wait to speak to Dr. Rubinstein to let her know of which Im sure she does as she is listed among my group of mt Sinai doctors. I am more balanced now and ready to return to my former activities with some restrictions. I just credit Dr. Rubinstein with my good outcome, physically, mentally and emotionally. She is the best.
